And this is a big update we are excited about...
We have a new membership model and we want to share EXACTLY why.
Our new membership model includes a lower tier option. There are now only 2 membership options – PORCH Digital and PORCH Plus.
But why is this a big deal?
Because the “free” Starter plan we tried introducing about 6 months ago no longer exists. We had the free Starter plan as a test to see if members who were on it engaged and added value to the community. We have always had the mindset that if someone found value, but for various reasons may not be able to pay a membership fee, that we could still provide them a little value by having them on this Starter plan.
It was a good test. But about 98% of members on this plan were not engaged and did not receive value because of that. As such, we believe deeply that members need to have a little skin in the game, which drives engagement and therefore value.
It's truly about quality over quantity and every community needs to be.
We would rather have 500 engaged, passionate, active, incredible members than 5000 that are just there because it's free.
That's real community.
